Is Joseph Gordon - Levitt Gonna play Robin?

There have been many rumors about the role, Joseph Gordon - Levitt is playing in the Dark knight Rises.
As of now, we know that he is going to play, "John Blake", if you don't know who John Blake is, its okay, no one does. If you read "The Dark Knight Rises's" Wikipedia page, it clearly specifies;

"John Blake, a "Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon."

Very vague, to say the least. Fans have begun to speculate who he might play, knowing how talented of an actor Mr. Gordon - Levitt is, fans aren't satisfied with his minute role. names like Robin, Nightwing, and even the Joker. ( for Joseph Gordon - Levitt's resemblance to Heath Ledger ) have started to pop up.

I myself believe he isn't just gonna play a "beat cop", Christopher Nolan has worked with him before in Inception. I believe he is gonna play a similar role. Maybe a Robin without the Short shorts, a sidekick to Batman, that isn't at the end of gay jokes. Has he bean assigned to help the Dark Knight in his Final Crusade? Or maybe the total opposite, He has gained The Dark Knights trust and chooses to stab him in the back. We can only speculate, but knowing Christopher Nolan, We won't be disappointed when THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is released, no matter what role he plays.

Bruce Wayne Walking With a Cane in the Trailer *PROOF*

Here we see a shadowy figure (what could be Bruce Wayne) walking away with a cane. Could possibly be at the top of the new Wayne Manor?

* Wayne Manor was under Construction during "The Dark Knight" after it burned to ground in "Batman Begins"

* Here we see the most viable proof of a cane, but who's the person holding the cane? That's the question? Bruce Wayne? Who Else?

* Here we see "Marion Cotillard" who's character we know little of, so far, speaking to Bruce Wayne. If you look closely to Bruce Wayne's right arm, he's leaning on something, but its not the railing next to him. I believe he is leaning on his Cane.

As I have done some investigative work on "The Dark Knight Rises" trailer.
I have no doubt in mind, that we will see Bruce Wayne walking with a cane, but Why? That's the Real Question, Could it be the handy work of Bane? or is it a previous injury?
What do you think?
